After competing against the likes of Nick Dougherty and Justin Rose during a glittering junior and amateur career Lee is now looking to step up to his compatriots lofty position within the worlds top 100.

Throughout 2008 Lee started his comeback to the game after a serious enforced lay off thanks to Crohns disease. But now fitting fit and raring to get out on tour and compete against the best, Lee is looking to build on his five top ten finishes in 2008.

With a five-year plan to make it into the European Tour Elite’s, Lee has carefully selected events throughout 2009 to give himself maximum opportunity to earn a tour card by right for 2010, but also to experience first hand the games biggest events.

Goals
Lee has set himself in 2009 include winning 3 events, finishing in the top 5 of the Europro Tour, and qualifying for the French Open on the main European Tour. Also Lee has his sights set on taking his appearance at final qualifying for The Open Championship in 2008, one stage further and competing as one of the 156 competitors to tee it up at Turnberry in mid July.

“I’m fully aware there are hundreds of good golfers out there wanting the same things I do, but I’ve had success before and I’m determined to get back to winning ways in 2009” says Nash.

If the season doesn’t quite pan out as planned, Lee is prepared to visit the gruelling 252 hole end of season tour school in a final attempt to rubber stamp his 2010 tour card.

What’s in Lee’s bag:
VT Xtreme Driver 10°, DVS X flex shaft
VT Xtreme 15° Fairway, DVS S flex shaft
VT Xtreme 17° Escape, DVS S flex shaft
3-PW VX51 Forged irons, Dynamic Gold S300 shafts
VX51 56° and 60° Forged wedges
Pure Red Spyglass putter

“I’ve really enjoyed hitting my new VX51 Forged irons I love the soft sweet feel, and extra control they’ve brought to my game. How they set up behind the ball has also helped boost my confidence as even tour players need the extra benefit a cavity back can offer.

Lee Nash Diary

To kick the season off quickly I’m spending four days practising in the warmth of the Spanish sunshine in Marbella at the end of March, but from then on its full steam ahead into the season.

“I’m competing in the Sunningdale Foursomes and then have 12-13 weeks on the road to look forward to. “

“Hopefully after some good early season performances my confidence will be soaring and I’ll be able to select the events I want to compete in, instead of chasing every last drop of cash in a bid to make my card.”
